Whenever bands become political, their messages are bland and simple: "don't vote for A, go for B instead". With his latest anti-Bush message, the Coldplay singer did just that. How does he know who John Kerry is? In elections, don't we always only have the choice between the bad and the worst politcian?

completely agree with you. Point I was trying to make was that messages that artists such as Martin are sending out are sometimes a bit too far on the black-and-white side. In addition, I wouldn't be surprised if at the Grammy's in 2007 he would criticise President Kerry for his wrongdoings on the global political stage then.
Believe me, I would like to see the back of George W Bush as much as you. On the other hand, what could we all lose? It can't get any worse than it is currently under Bush's rule.
Let's keep our fingers crossed !

Anyone who has access to the media should use it to get the message across, young people need energising to be political and think for themselves, if their favourite performer helps thats not a bad thing. who would you trust, Bush, Rumsfeld, or Chris Martin, as least Martin isnt personaly benefiting from the opinions he espouses!
