My third day in the capital and I feel slowly but surely settled in. An amazing number of places have changed dramatically changed shape here since 1985, I can tell you. Hard to believe that so much ahs been accomplished since 1990. Besides all the complaints about the high costs of reunification and revitalisation of all the ex-border zones, I think Berlin has definitely benefitted from it.
In case you were wondering about the Alemannia Aachen Cup final of last night: It's all over - we didn't make it. But it didn't really come as a big surprise, to be honest. Our team did well and fought bravely.

an dich als alten aachen fan musste ich am samstag in berlin denken, als ich beim pokal-endspiel war. auf jeden fall habt ihr super fans. die aachen kurve (übrigens war der slogan bei der anfänglichen fankoreographie: eine geile kurve für eine geile mannschaft) war wirklich laut, lauter als die bremer, trotz des rückstands.
die atmosphäre war beeindruckend. aber ich, als werder fan, war natürlich mit dem ausgang hochzufrieden. wünsche der alemannia viel glück im uefa cup.

we nearly made it what is already a huge victory for aachen, but the best thing was to see aachen fans singing together (also with some bremen fans =) ). germanys capital in our home colours yellow and black. that were two days i will never forget in my life...
